Community for the Jews who'd rather
run 5 miles than sit through a sermon.
Twice a week. Always free.
Havdalah marks the end of Shabbat and the start of something new. We mark it with miles. Show up at sundown, run 5K however you want, and stick around after. No synagogue required.
Shabbat morning is sacred — just not always in the way our grandparents meant. We show up, we run 10K, and we find something worth calling holy in the sweat and the company.
You light candles sometimes. You fast on Yom Kippur, mostly. You feel something on the High Holidays but can't quite explain it. You're one of us — and you're very welcome here.
There's no pace group to hide in. No pacer to chase. This is a community of individuals who don't need to be told how to live their lives or run their miles.
We use the Jewish calendar as a rhythm — not a religion. Havdalah and Shabbat give us a reason to gather. The run gives us something to talk about. The rest takes care of itself.
Tag your runs with #Havdalah5k or #Shabbat10k to appear here. Note: Due to Instagram API restrictions, connect via a social media integration service (e.g., Curator.io or Taggbox) to display live posts.
